Sentiris AV1 leverages an FPGA-based video and graphics processing core instead of the traditional approach of using dedicated graphics processing units (GPUs). That means that the embedded GPU can be upgraded over the lifetime of the product, simply by upgrading the firmware.

Originally conceived for applications such as flight certified image generation, Sentiris AV1 is fully certifiable to DO-178B and DO-254, rather than the traditional approach of obtaining a hardware waiver based on a statistical time test.

Its upgradability means that, for the first time, safety critical applications can be rapidly implemented without the fear of obsolescence as GPUs are quickly EOLed when new GPUs come to market.

IGL-178™ DO-178B Level A Certifiable OpenGL SC – Fully compliant OpenGL SC API, and all software and FPGA HDL written to DO-178B/DO-254 standards.
FPGA-Based GPU – In-system firmware upgrades are possible via PCI Express. Offers on-chip HD-SDI implementation, as well as soft and hard error correction and reporting.
Support for Dual Channel Output – Sentiris AV1 allows for two simultaneously active graphics or video outputs.
Obsolescence Mitigation – The system’s FPGA core can be viewed in the FPGA market’s decades-long lifecycle, not mere years as with GPUs.
Environmentally Rugged – Operating temperatures range from -20C to +70C; MIL-STD-810F.
Development Systems Available – Driver Development Kit and example driver code available for user to implement on any operating system.
