Manufacturing and Test Engineer

About the Opportunity

The Company is actively seeking a qualified self-motivated professional Manufacturing and Test Engineer to work closely with design engineering teams to develop, implement, and support manufacturability and testability for new and current image-generator products and be the point of contact between Engineering, Contract Manufacturing engineers, and Operations.

The selected candidate must be a U.S. Citizen or have permanent resident status and should have an AAS or BSEE in Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 3+ years experience as a Test Engineering for workstation or PC related products.

Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  1. Concurrent engineering with board- and system-level design teams to implement manufacturability and testability for current and new product designs
  2. Provide support for New Product Introduction (NPI)  from engineering to operations
  3. Develop and document test plans and test procedures
  4. Provide training to contract manufacturing engineers related to testing new products
  5. Triage issues during assembly and test, and provide support to multiple contract manufacturers
  6. Troubleshoot board assemblies to component level
  7. Interface with board- and system-level design teams to solve assembly and test issues.
  8. Implement engineering changes to test or manufacturing procedures
  9. Work with quality team to improve yield at contract manufacturer
Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
  1. Experience developing test plans and implementing procedures at the board and system level
  2. Familiarity with computer graphics products and technologies such as DVI, video standards, etc.
  3. Knowledge of boundary scan, ICT and other test methodologies
  4. Strong background of working with contract manufacturers in the high-tech industry
  5. Knowledge of image generator products desired
  6. Knowledgeable with Microsoft Windows, especially relating to driver and hardware management
  7. Ability to work well with many different teams in different geographies
  8. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  9. Experience with factory automation software a plus

Training and Experience

AAS or BSEE in Electronics Engineering or related field. Three or more years as a Test Engineer for workstation or PC related products.
