Database Developer 1 (For CG2 Subsidiary)

About the Opportunity

The Company is actively seeking four (4) qualified self-motivated entry-level Database Developers to design, generate and document 3D models for the whole range of Quantum3D image generators. This position will be on a temporary basis for the duration of 1 year. The selected candidates must be U.S. Citizens or have permanent resident status.

Specific duties include but not limited to:
  1. Create software programs in C/C++ and scripting languages.
  2. Create software programs using the OpenGL API.
  3. Generate new 3D Graphics features using shader-based programming techniques.
  4. Keep current on GPU technology, architecture, and 3D rendering techniques.
  5. Design software in response to Engineering Specifications.
  6. Formulate and craft software systems using scientific analysis and disciplined engineering principles to evaluate viability of the design.
  7. Provide testing procedures to test the quality of software being produced.
  8. Document the design of software components.  Write research reports.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  1. Formal training in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
  2. Strong knowledge of 3D graphics, GPU technologies, shaders, shading languages, and rendering techniques.
  3. Working knowledge of algorithms for digital image processing and computational geometry.
  4. Ability to adapt algorithms into software.
  5. Experience in OpenGL and C++ programming.
  6. Able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands simultaneously.
  7. Strong organization and communication skills.
  8. Able to work as part of a cross-functional team.
  9. Able to develop software on Windows OS (with Visual Studio) and Linux.


The desired candidate will have the following qualifications:

  1. USAF or USSOCOM or other DoD Agency Experience.  Exposure to GOTS software.
  2. Holds or has previously held a US secret or higher US clearance.
  3. Software development for embedded/mobile resource constrained platforms.
  4. Software development experience in CUDA or OpenCL.
  5. Experience with UAV software design and development.
  6. Experience developing software to import sensor data such as EO/IR, Hyperspectral and LADAR.
  7. Experience developing software to exploit sensor data such as tracking, image stabilization and change detection.
  8. Flight-line integration support experience for aircraft, helicopter, or UAV platforms.
  9. Experience developing software to manipulate Visual Simulation 3D data formats.
Training and Experience Required:

Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Minimum of 5 years of work related to the required skill set.
