Technical Support Engineer

Summary:

The Company is actively seeking a qualified self-motivated professional Technical Support Engineer to provide telephone, online and onsite support for Quantum3D’s hardware and software customer base.

The selected candidate must be a U.S. Citizen or have permanent resident status and should have a B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 1 year experience supporting end users of server or graphics computer systems.

The desired candidate will have demonstrated experience with embedded programming, 3D games, visual simulation or 3D graphics. Experience using customer relationship management software and online support tools.  Familiarity with networking, RAID and Graphics Accelerator technology. 

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Assist other organizations and staff in their use of Quantum3D products, specifically related to customer service, sales, engineering and QA of hardware and software solutions. Take ownership of customer technical issues and work with support and development teams through issue resolution. Documenting troubleshooting and problem resolution steps.  Support customers during hardware and software upgrades and patches. Travel as required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

The individual must have a sound understanding of techniques involved. Must be able to work/think independently, have strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels including employee, management team and customer. Ability to lift computer systems weighing approximately 60 lbs.  Ability to multi-task, manage time and set priorities.  Present a professional image to the customer, excellent customer service skills (written, verbal and presentation).  Experience or training in C/C++ programming, visual basic, batch file scripts, python and/or OpenGL.  Microsoft Windows experience required.  Experience with Microsoft tools such as Visual Studio, Excel, Word, Powerpoint.  Experience installing PC expansion hardware, drivers and systems administration. 

Compensation and Benefits:
