ORLANDO,
FLA - May 24, 2004 - Quantum3D®,
Inc., a leading provider of open architecture, realtime 3D visual
computing solutions for the Visual Simulation and Training (VST)
and Embedded Visual Computing (EVC) markets, announced today the
appointment of Gordon King as director of technical marketing.
King will play a key role in working with Quantum3D's traditional
image generation (IG) solution customers to ensure the Company's
products continue to meet evolving program requirements. In addition,
King will also help guide the Company's expansion into new markets
including deployed C4ISR visual computing and image generation
for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) weapons system simulation, test
and evaluation. King will be located in the Quantum3D Orlando
facility, which is also the Company's Center of Excellence for
Visual Simulation Program Management and Engineering and Synthetic
Environment Development.
In announcing King's appointment, Ross Q. Smith,
Quantum3D co-founder and president said, "Gordon brings a
broad range of experience in the visual computing industry from
missile simulation to visual systems for training applications.
His technical insights and understanding of customer requirements
will be extremely valuable in our continued efforts to provide
industry-leading products for both our mainstream IG solution

King brings over 15 years of experience to Quantum3D,
including nearly 10 years with SGI where he held various positions
including C4SIR marketing manager and senior programs engineer
for the Government and Defense Industries Group. He also previously
worked for SEOS, ELMCo Incorporated and MEVATEC Corporations.
