ORLANDO, FL - December 7, 2004
- Quantum3D®, Inc., a leading provider of open architecture,
realtime 3D visual computing solutions for the Visual and Sensor
Simulation and Training (VSST) and Embedded Visual Computing (EVC)
markets, today announced the promotion of Keith Kailing to the
newly created position of Vice President of Visual and Sensor
Simulation and Training Engineering. In his new position, Kailing
will be responsible for the development of all new Quantum3D Image
Generation hardware, software, and database generation system
(DBGS) technologies.
Kailing previously was Quantum3D's director
of visual and sensor simulation advanced technologies, working
out of the Company's Orlando facility. He joined Quantum3D in
June this year from Lockheed Martin where he was chief engineer
for the Readi-Sim family of PC-based Image Generators (IG). Kailing
is a recognized expert in the field of realtime IG systems for
visual, sensor and weapons systems training applications.
In announcing Kailing's promotion, Ross Q. Smith,
Quantum3D co-founder and president said, "In order to meet
the increasingly complex demands of the VSST market, it is necessary
that all aspects of our IG solutions must be designed to work
together precisely. No one understands this better than Keith,
who is in the ideal position to execute this strategy given his
history, experience and location in Orlando, which affords him
access to our customers and our Program and Synthetic Environment
development teams."
Kailing brings over 25 years of experience in
realtime image generation to Quantum3D. In addition to 10 years
at Lockheed Martin working on image generation products, Kailing
was also project engineer for Sega Products at Real 3D and worked
for General Electric where he had various engineering responsibilities.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering from
Michigan Technological University.
