Independence® IDX 6000 (ER)

Overview

The top-of-the-line IDX 6000 combines the highest performance commercially-available GPUs, Mantis® image generation software featuring shader-based rendering, and application-specific plug-ins to deliver the most advanced real-time image generation for simulation, training, and mission rehearsal applications. Combined with Quantum3D’s GeoScapeSE® databases and industry-standard CIGI host interface, the IDX 6000 is ready right out of the box for the most demanding requirements.

The IDX 6000’s Export-Restricted (ER) features support simulation of sensors including CCD, Day TV, Low-Light TV, thermal, short-wave and multi-band FLIRs, and simulation or stimulation of night vision goggles. Mantis® combines with viXsen® to render physics-based, at-aperture scenes, with sensor effects added by Quantum3D’s QUEST2 software post-processor.

Applications

The Independence® IDX 6000 is the perfect candidate for military fixed- and rotary-wing, FAA Level-D, and JAR FSTD flight simulation, aerial refueling simulation, gunnery training, hardware-in-the-loop sensor simulation, ground vehicle simulation, fixed- and forward-based air traffic control, ship’s bridge simulation, mono & stereo scientific visualization, and virtual reality.

Features and Benefits

Application-Specific Options – The IDX 6000 offers application-specific options including Advanced Weather supporting volumetric clouds, storms, cloud shadows and layered fog; Advanced Marine with dynamic ocean; Rotorwash; Spotlights; RunwayFX; DI-Guy animated characters; SpeedTree 3D trees with dynamic wind effects and Real-time Shadows.

Open Architecture – The IDX 6000 supports industry-standard CIGI 3.x messaging protocol over dedicated Gigabit Ethernet and industry-standard database formats including OpenFlight®, NPSI, CDB, and CTDB.

Worldwide Database – The IDX 6000, combined with Quantum3D’s GeoScapeSE® WWDB (Worldwide Database), supports continuous worldwide flight over 15-meter geo-specific terrain. Using our CatalystSE™ DBGS (Database Generation System), customers can add their own high-resolution insets anywhere in the database.

Enhanced Storage – -Ray read/write drive accommodates large database requirements.

Export Restricted (ER) Features and Benefits

Sensor Enabled – The IDX 6000 ER supports QUEST2 and viXsen® for correlated, physics-based NVG, IR, Day Camera and EO Simulation applications and Stimulated NVG applications.
