Overview
Quantum3D’s GeoScapeSE® WWDB (Worldwide Database) delivers a geo-specific representation of the entire earth. Building on Quantum3D’s expertise in delivering geo-specific regional databases, such as the coterminous U.S., Quantum3D has delivered a realistic representation of the entire world. As a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) database, GeoScapeSE® WWDB is the industry’s first worldwide coverage built entirely from the highest resolution world coverage available today.
As the first COTS worldwide geo-specific database on the market, GeoScapeSE® WWDB has been optimized for use on Quantum3D’s image generators. With geo-specific imagery (as opposed to most companies’ geo-typical imagery), users will receive the best quality global imagery available with color matching and balancing between adjacent data sets. The resulting unparalleled global realism is available at costs considerably below those required for a custom development. And, high-resolution areas of interest can be added to provide custom configurability to a scene.

Geo-Specific Imagery — Unlike many of today’s synthetic environment platforms that use “geo-typical” graphics to approximate reality, GeoScapeSE® Worldwide delivers actual, or “geo-specific,” imagery at a variety of resolutions: 15m for all earth landmasses outside the polar caps, 10m for the coterminous United States, and 5m to 1m for all areas of interest.
Environment Flexibility — Can be used in a myriad of ways—for out-the-window (OTW), night vision goggles (NVG), infrared (IR), electro-optical (EO), and radar real-time simulation. The database is optimized for fixed and rotary wing flight applications.
Optimized for Quantum3D Image Generators — GeoScapeSE® WWDB has been optimized for use with Quantum3D’s Independence® image generators.
